One great way to get control of clutter is cube storage. It's convenient, economical and attractive. For pack rats, this is the way to go to organize that mound of "stuff" that seems to have a growth pattern all its own. In small home offices, cubes offer a neat vertical filing system that can be arranged for maximum storage of files and folders. The best part of using cubes for a home office filing system is how easy it is to move them from one location to another. They are sold in a wide variety of colors that coordinate well with any room decor. For childrens bedrooms and playrooms, they are indispensable for organizing toys and books. They can also be used to create a special storage area for dolls and stuffed animals.

Stackable Storage Cubes

Cubes provide ample storage space and are available in several sizes. In garage and work areas, they can be stacked easily in any combination of configurations. Students love them in their college dorms because they are easy to transport from room to room. This is also true of many people who travel as part of their jobs. It's easy to just fill the cube with important papers, files and other documents. Then, just transport to your vehicle and it becomes a mobile office.

Cubes For Fun

Birthdays, anniversaries, wedding and baby showers always present a dilemma where gift giving is concerned. Instead of one very expensive gift, why not decorate a cube suitable to the occasion and fill it with all things that are "must have" or "wish list" items? For birthdays, kids absolutely love to find a cube filled with games, books and other surprises. For adults, fill the cube with items that relates to hobbies or other activities. Wedding showers offer the unique opportunity to give a "gift cube" with things every new bride likes: linens, candles, cookbooks or gadgets for the gadget lover. Fill the cube with lots of baby items that new parents run short of quickly: baby powder, shampoo and disposable diapers. After the "oohs and ahs", the cube will do double duty as a handy storage bin.

Cube Storage System

Collections of DVD video and music discs are a good example of how to use a cube system as part of a modern, attractive entertainment center. Use vinyl inserts that can be purchased in most craft stores as dividers inside the cubes to create additional "shelves". Most hardware stores carry metal clips that can be attached to the walls of the cube to be used as fasteners for the shelves. In the laundry room, Cubes are also a great place to store detergent, dryer sheets and fabric softener in a neat, easy-to-reach place. For those overloaded outdoor sheds, you can organize small lawn and garden hand tools and decorations in a wood storage cube or wire storage cubes. This is also true of pool supplies for backyard pools.

Organizing - One Storage Cube At A Time

Cube storage makes organizing household clutter simple and easy. Many people who recycle their newspapers and magazines love cubes for this purpose. When recycle day rolls around, it's a simple matter of taking the cube out to the curb. Do-it-Yourself home painters love them for the convenience they provide in managing the can of paint, brushes, rollers and other accessories.
