Casablanca Ceiling Fans
69Fans are an energy efficient way to stay cool in the summer and help cut energy costs in the winter. This is especially true for ceiling fans which, when turning counter clockwise, create a breeze that help cool off a room’s occupants; and when going clockwise, circulate warm air from vents or radiators Fans such as the casablanca ceiling fans are decorative, energy efficient, low cost to run, and are among the finest and best built fans around. Whether for functioning as a dependable workhorse cooling your basement, or as the striking focal point of your entry hall or living room, the Casablanca company makes a variety of ceiling fans, accessories and lighting to fit almost every need, style, and budget. Categories include: Chandelier, Contemporary, Period/Decor specific, Transitional, Low profile, Designer’s Choice, and Indoor/Outdoor ceiling fans.
Casablanca’s chandelier fan is called Candellier, a large 48 inch diameter ring which holds 48 wax candles - each with its own 3 watt bulb. The 30 inch fan is inside the ring. The underside of the ring also features eight 20 watt halogen bulbs for down lighting. The casablanca outdoor ceiling fan has a clean look that is at home in modern decor. Examples include the LeGrande, made especially for large rooms, and the Verrazano which has cables attaching the blades to the motor shaft. All of the contemporary fans have, or have as an option, an integrated light. Sizes range from the Starlet at 36 inches to the Malibu Star whose silk fabric and fiberglass rod blades reach an 84 inch span. Traditional decor can be enhanced by Casablanca’s Period/Decor specific fans, such as the Victorian, today's version of Casablanca’s original ornate fan, or the New Orleans Centennial model, which replicates a one hundred year old fan that was found in the French Quarter. Most of the fans in this series have included or optional light fixtures and several offer the choice of 46 or 54 inch blade span.
Casablanca combine the best of traditional and contemporary styles in it’s transitional fans such as the burled wood Hampshire Gallery, or the Neoclassical style Hanover fan. Low profile fans flush mount for rooms with lower ceilings ( fan blades must be at least 7 feet from the floor). Styles include the transitional style Four Seasons Hugger fan, and the Sillouette II with its integrated medallion.
Designer choice fans offer a wide selection of motor housings which can be matched with a variety of blades, light fixtures and shades for a customized look. Indoor/Outdoor fans are for use in damp areas such as bathrooms and laundry rooms, as well as several that are wet rated for areas such as covered or closed in porches and patios, sun rooms and decks. Several of these models are also in the Designer’s choice line, so customization is an option.
Casablanca also has a broad range of light fitters, shades, complete light fixtures, blades and remote controls for their fans. There is also the Zephair, a portable fan for floor or desktop. The price of a casablanca ceiling fan will range from about $90 - $110 for a basic Four Seasons model all the way up to well over $5000 for the Candellier. Most are in the range of about $300 - $700, and many carry the Energy Star label.
