When someone thinks of wrought iron, the first thing that comes to mind is usually a wrought iron fence. It is not commonly seen as a material homeowners think of to construct a chandelier. For the most part, chandeliers are made of glass, crystal or bronze. A wrought iron chandelier is a somewhat new concept in indoor lighting. This is especially true for something as marvelous as a chandelier. If this is the way homeowners think about chandeliers, it is time to rethink their way. Now, homeowners can step into the new, the contemporary and the interesting world of light fixtures. Today, there are many lovely shapes and styles of chandeliers to fit in any room. These are some modern and contemporary chandeliers for the everyday homeowner.

As homeowners seek out a new piece of lighting for their dining room, bedroom, living room or family room, they will be amazed at how many shapes and styles are available. Homeowners will be interested to know just because a chandelier is made of wrought iron, does not mean they are not classy or can be used with any style of decor homeowner’s desire. In fact, there are at least ten classic wrought iron chandeliers with what looks like crystal dripping down from the top, to bottom, if the lighting fixture. The only thing that is different about these iron chandelier designs is the frame is made of iron. If a homeowner’s home is elegant by design, but they like the wrought iron frame, they can now have the best of both worlds. This is because there are well over five exquisite chandeliers with dripping crystals. This would be a great lighting fixture for any mini mansion, mansion or weekend getaway house.

If a homeowner has a home between 2500 square feet to 3500 square feet, then they probably have a large enough dining room to showcase a chandelier. When it comes to looking for an everyday, or more elegant, lighting fixture to go above a dining room table, a wrought iron chandelier would complete whatever look a homeowner has in mind. Some chandeliers are made with a 3-tier lighting fixture, while others are made of a 30-tier lighting fixture. Depending on the length and size of a dining room table, the homeowner might want their fixture to be within the 20” to 36” range. The last thing a homeowner wants is their lighting fixture to be disproportioned right with their dining room table. This is something a homeowner will want to discuss their lighting expert upon purchase. It is wise to measure the dining room table before looking at and purchasing a chandelier as well.

Finally, a homeowner might want a wrought iron candle chandelier that resembles the ones used in the 17th century. Some of these chandeliers had a round frame with eight candles or bulbs, placed around the frame. This type of chandelier also has a 10” or longer chain. There are so many chandeliers to look at pick from; it might take the homeowner more than a weekend to decide. Also, the prices of these chandeliers can range from a modest $259 all the way to $7,999. If style and design features are of more importance to a homeowner than price, the skies the limit on whatever black iron chandelier they have their eye on.

I had the same misconception that chandeliers are only made of glass or crystal. Your hub not only dispelled this notion but threw light on a new and elegant way to decorate a home.

Thanks.
